Research Interests
Weathering, mineralogy and morphogenesis of soils and Quaternary sediments,
particularly as related to their distribution in arid and semi-arid
landscapes. Origin of loess. Dust transport and deposition. Pedogenic
carbonates. Vertisol dynamics and morphogenesis. Soil chronosequences.
Paleosols. Global soil change. History of soil science.
