Research Abstract:
Traditional continuing medical education (CME) programs have been 
found to be of little value in changing performance behavior of 
physicians. Development of continuing education programs based on the 
educational needs of physicians is essential if these programs are to 
be effective in changing behavior. This project evaluated the 
psychometric properties of a tool to assess CME needs of 
physicians. 50 practicing physicians were assessed to determine their 
continuing education needs.
