| Traditional continuing medical education (CME) programs have been |
| found to be of little value in changing performance behavior of |
| physicians. Development of continuing education programs based on the |
| educational needs of physicians is essential if these programs are to |
| be effective in changing behavior. This project evaluated the |
| psychometric properties of a tool to assess CME needs of |
| physicians. 50 practicing physicians were assessed to determine their |
| continuing education needs. |
